Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Eclipped ("Eclipped", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and service at eclipped.com (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data described below. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Eclipped is a tool that monitors public livestreams and surfaces clip-worthy moments for content creators and clip-channel operators. You can reach us at support@eclipped.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. We never receive or store your Google password — authentication is handled entirely by Google.
- Usage information. The streamers you choose to track and the actions you take on clips (e.g. marking a clip as reviewed, downloaded, or your review verdict).
- Technical information. A short-lived authentication token to keep you signed in, and server logs (e.g. timestamps, error records) used to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use your information
- To authenticate you and provide the Service.
- To remember which streamers you track and your clip activity.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not post anything to your accounts or access your Google data beyond the basic profile described above.
4. How clips are analysed
Eclipped analyses publicly broadcast livestream content (video frames, audio, and chat) to score how clip-worthy a moment is. This analysis uses a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). The content analysed is the streamer's public broadcast — not your personal account data. Your name and email are never sent to the AI provider.
5. Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of trusted providers ("sub-processors") to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — authentication (Google Sign-In).
- Vercel — hosting of the web application.
- Hetzner — server infrastructure (EU/Germany), where data is stored.
- Anthropic — AI analysis of public stream content (see section 4).
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Eclipped and its users.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies and similar storage needed to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
7. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Clip media is retained on a rolling basis (older clips are automatically removed from availability) while their metadata may be kept for analytics. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.
8. Data security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and verified authentication tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under UK and EU GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@eclipped.com and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
Our infrastructure is primarily located in the EU. Some service providers may process data in other countries; where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by applicable law.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
